We are looking for the most sports-savvy individuals to compete in future editions of ESPN's critically acclaimed 2minuteDRILL. The show is the latest from the creators of Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Win Ben Stein's Money.
Please read before applying:
1) AGE:
You must be 18 years of age or older on the day of your application.
2) RESIDENCY:
You must be a legal U.S. resident of one of the 50 United States.
3) POLITICAL CANDIDACY:
Applicants must not be running for a political office at the time when their show(s) would air.
4) EMPLOYMENT/ACQUAINTANCE:
Current employees and their immediate family members or those living in the same household, of the Walt Disney Company, ESPN, ABC, The Hearst Corporation, Diplomatic Productions, all ESPN's Two Minute Drill production staff, including but not limited to the Hosts and Panelists, Skycastle Entertainment/Sullivan Compliance Company, Hall, Dickler, Kent, Goldstein, and Wood, Sony Music Studios, participating cable networks, advertising agencies or any person or entity connected with the production, administration or judging of this contest, or any of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents or representatives are not eligible. In addition, persons closely acquainted with any persons employed by any of the above-mentioned entities or who are connected with the production, administration or judging of the contest are not eligible, if in the Judges' sole discretion, the person's participation could create the appearance of impropriety.
5) PREVIOUS QUIZ SHOW APPEARANCES:
Any Contestant who has appeared on any sports-themed television quiz show that has been cablecast or broadcast within one (1) year prior to the date of the taping or is intended to be cablecast or broadcast within one (1) year after the taping is not eligible.
6) PREVIOUS "TMD" APPEARANCE:
Contestants who have appeared on 2minuteDRILL may not audition for the tournament immediately following the one they appeared on, but may be brought back at the Show Producer's sole discretion.
7) DATES:
You must be available and able to travel yourself to New York City for:
a. A test and audition TBD
b. Tapings TBD
8) SPECIALTY CATEGORIES:
What are your specialty categories? You must propose 2 such areas in which you are most knowledgeable. The actual area that will be your specialty will be approved and determined by the Show Producer prior to your appearance. Please be as specific as possible. As a suggestion, don't pick a sport; pick a certain player, or a certain team from a particular year or a specific game/match. (Eg: 1985 Final Four, 1999 LA Lakers, Muhammad Ali, etc.)
9) WHY YOU?:
What makes you a better choice for this contest than the thousands of others that are applying? Why do you think you can beat the other 31 contestants?
10) WHEN WILL I GET A RESPONSE?:
If we select you for an audition, we will contact you by phone prior to the tournament to book you for a testing and audition session. We will make multiple attempts to contact you. If you do not receive a call from us, we will keep your information on file for future consideration.

11) AUDITION SPOTS ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE:
An applicant must prove their identity, date of birth and home address with valid photo ID:
a. For your date of birth, you can bring: driver's license, state-issued non-driver's identification, passport, birth certificate or voter's registration card.
b. For your address, you can bring your driver's license. If your address is different, you must also bring a current utility bill as proof of your current address.
Only one application per person; duplicate submissions will be ignored.
