I have been scratching my head since Sunday afternoon trying to answer one gnawing question:

Am I allowed to use the word "finally" in regard to 22-year-old Anthony Kim's victory at the Wachovia Championship, the first of his PGA Tour career?

I mean, if Guns N' Roses ever releases "Chinese Democracy," the album Axl Rose promised us in 1994, back when "albums" still kinda existed … that'll deserve a "finally."

If the U.S. men's Olympic basketball team can reclaim its sports birthright by winning its first gold medal since 2000 at the summer games in China, there still won't be democracy in China, let alone Chinese Democracy, but there will be cause for a "finally."

But I just can't muster a hearfelt "finally" for Kim winning on Tour, even though I've been pimping him for nearly two years, ever since he exploded onto the scene with a tie for second at the 2006 Texas Open, his first event after turning pro.
