Parsons had an off-night Thursday against the Blazers, scoring 14 points (6-18 FG, 2-4 3Pt) to go with five rebounds and two assists in 38 minutes of action.
Parsons was limited in practice Wednesday due to back spasms, Fox 26 reports.
Parsons went through most of practice on Tuesday, but continues to go through treatment for back spasms, the Houston Chronicle reports. Assistant coach Kelvin Sampson said Parsons looks good but that the team is being careful about his practice time.
Parsons (back) had 18 points, four rebounds, four assists and three 3-pointers in 39 minutes Sunday. While he shot well from the field (7-of-12), he was only 1-of-5 from the line.
Parsons (back) will take the court Sunday against the Magic, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Parsons said his back is "more sore than it's ever been" after undergoing another round of acupuncture treatment Saturday, the Houston Chronicle reports. "I'm just trying to do what I can to play," Parsons said. "I'm definitely not 100 percent."
Parsons (back) was sore after playing in Friday's game, but coach Kevin McHale sounded positive with regards to whether he'd be able to play through the pain, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Parsons got relief from back spasms in part with the help of an acupuncturist, the Houston Chronicle reports. "I was so glad to be out there and to be playing," Parsons said. "Obviously, I'm still a little rusty. I missed a lot of easy ones that usually I am going to make, but that's going to take some time with coming back. I'm definitely sore but it felt good to be back out there."
Parsons (back) returned to action Friday against the Warriors and went ice cold from the field, scoring just eight points on 3-for-13 shooting. He added four rebounds, five assists, and three steals in 34 minutes of action.
Parsons (back) will play Friday against the Warriors.
