RULES: ADDITIONAL NOTES
Before each season begins the system receives an updated report that details every NFL player with their listed position heading into the new season. This includes rookies as well as veterans. The listed positions are fixed and will not change for the duration of the season. Note: Even in customizable leagues, the league manager cannot change the listed position of any player in the game.
The system uses the National Football League's official injury report to update players' injury status (ie, questionable, doubtful, out, etc.). These are updated daily and because there is not a true DL or IR in football any player listed as "OUT" will automatically receive a * for the week. If a player is listed with a * next to his name he is eligible for your league's IR slot (Customizable Leagues only). Once a player is in your IR slot, he can remain there even while healthy, however any roster changes involving waiver pick-ups or free agents will not process unless a healthy player sitting in the IR slot is removed first (to the bench or active roster slot). Note, this also includes any trade transactions. The trade cannot be processed unless the healthy player is removed from the IR slot.
The 'Undroppable' list is comprised of players who cannot be dropped to waivers at any time during the season. ESPN introduced this feature to prevent collusion (In these cases, owners would be able to drop star players, allowing those first on the waiver wire to pick them up). League managers in Custom Leagues can choose if they want to allow owners to be capable of dropping all players or be prevented from dropping designated players. View your League Settings page to see how your league is configured. In Standard Leagues the list is enforced at all times. View the players listed as undroppable.
