Players dropped by an owner reside on waivers for at least 24 hours before clearing waivers. At the clearance time, the player is assigned to either a team (if a claim was made) or the free-agent pool (if no claim was made). Unclaimed players not acquired during the waiver period become free agents and may be picked up on a first-come, first-serve basis without affecting a team's waiver position.
To claim a player off the waiver wire, go to the Players tab (lists all Free Agents and recently dropped players), and click on the "+" icon in the "Action" column. After this, the system will take you back to your roster page and require you to adjust your roster. For example, you may need to drop at least one (1) player in order to clear the necessary room on your roster for the incoming players. This would be indicated in a red bar across the top of your roster. Click in the box to the left of the player's name you wish to drop (the box is located in the "Drop" column) and then click "Submit Roster" for the action to be confirmed.
If multiple claims are submitted for a particular player, the claim is resolved based on the waiver position of each involved team. A team's waiver position is the relative power you have when selecting a player off of the waiver wire. When more than one team requests a player in waivers, the player is awarded to the team with the better waiver position (closest to "1"). When a claim is resolved, the waiver position for the team that receives the player is changed to the lowest possible priority (10), and all the other teams move up a position.
WAIVER SYSTEM (In-season)
Standard leagues use the following method for determining which team has priority in waiver claims.
- Move to last after claim, never reset order - The team which makes the most recent pickup is automatically moved to the last slot.
Waiver claims can be made at any time before the player clears waivers. Any player who is dropped within 24 hours of a game start is not available to be added to a team roster, and will appear on waivers 8 hours after being placed on waivers.
Waivers process daily beginning at 3 a.m. ET.
NOTE: Waivers won't reset in your league during the playoffs if they are set to inverse order of standings. The playoff teams have already been determined in your league so the standings won't change. Once a team claims a player from waivers they will move to the end of the list.
