Coach John Harbaugh indicated that the shoulder injury Rice sustained Saturday is a bruise and that the running back isn't expected to be sidelined for long, the Baltimore Sun reports. "It shouldn't be anything too serious," Harbaugh said after Saturday's preseason contest. "We should be OK."
Rice had to leave Saturday's preseason game with a shoulder injury, but his X-rays came back negative, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Rice, who is suspended for the first two games of the regular season, gained 17 yards on three carries in Thursday's preseason opener against the 49ers.
Rice didn't appeal the two-game suspension handed down to him by the NFL for violating the league's personal conduct policy, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Rice will be suspended for the first two games of the 2014 season as a result of his Feb. 15 aggravated assault charge, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
