Bills coach Doug Marrone inferred after Sunday's loss to Tampa Bay that the team may do some scaling back with Manuel - who threw four interceptions and was sacked seven times - the rest of the way, The Buffalo News reports. Said the coach, "We've been giving him more and more and now it's a point where you have to re-evaluate that. We've been going fast with his progression and now we just have to look at it and get him started again. It's not starting over, don't get me wrong. We've got to look to see what we can do and probably cut down on what we're doing."
Manuel completed 18-of-33 passes for 184 yards with zero touchdowns and four interceptions, while being sacked seven times, against the Buccaneers on Sunday. He also added 29 yards rushing on five carries.
Manuel completed 18-of-32 passes for 210 yards in Sunday's loss to the Falcons. He had one touchdown pass and no interceptions, while carrying an 86.7 passer rating. He also rushed for three yards on four carries with one touchdown.
With Stevie Johnson and Robert Woods expected back from injury absences this week against Atlanta, Manuel should have his full complement of offensive teammates.
