Texans chairman and CEO Bob McNair confirmed Friday that the Texans plan to stick with Schaub's teammate, Case Keenum, as their starting quarterback.
Filling in for an ineffective Case Keenum, Schaub completed 17-of-29 passes for 198 yards, with one touchdown and one interception in Thursday's 27-20 loss to the Jaguars.
Schaub said he's unsure of what his future holds, Houston Chronicle reports. "We take each week one at a time," Schaub said. "When you're in the length of the season and how long it is, and the marathon and the grind, you just have to focus on the next thing in front of you. If you're thinking about the future or down the road or things beyond what's right in front of you, you're gonna miss something."
Schaub will serve as the backup quarterback in Week 12 against Jacksonville, the Houston Chronicle reports. Coach Gary Kubiak named Case Keenum the starter.
Schaub replaced an uninjured Case Keenum in Sunday's loss to the Raiders. He completed 12-of-25 passes for 155 yards passing, but was unable to lead the Texans into the end zone on three second-half red zone trips.
