17. Shaun Suisham, Pit KYEAR1-3940-4950+TOTXPPTS
2013 Statistics22/248/80/030/3239/39135
2014 Projections17/198/101/326/3241/41123
2014 Outlook: On the surface, Suisham's stats look good. And it's hard to argue with 30-for-32 on field goal attempts, along with 39 extra points. But dig a little deeper and his numbers get exposed a little. He crushed mostly chip shots in 2013, with field goals of 39 yards or fewer accounting for 48.9 percent of his overall fantasy points, most in the league. Suisham was one of the few kickers who didn't even try a 50-plus-yarder last season, probably because he's only 5-for-14 in his career from that range. Heinz Field is not a great place for long-distance kicks, so don't expect his opportunities to increase.
18. Cody Parkey, Phi KYEAR1-3940-4950+TOTXPPTS
2013 Statistics--/----/----/----/----/----
2014 Projections15/167/102/424/3047/47124
2014 Outlook: The Eagles' offense is potent, so Parkey should at least be a consistent source of points. He beat out Alex Henery for the job in the preseason, and showed a much stronger leg in doing so.
19. Greg Zuerlein, StL KYEAR1-3940-4950+TOTXPPTS
2013 Statistics17/178/91/226/2834/34120
2014 Projections17/187/83/527/3137/37127
2014 Outlook: Remember Zuerlein? Sure you do. Most second- year kickers don't get three nicknames, after all. But Legatron -- or Greg the Leg, or Young GZ -- hit a few sophomore snags last year, some of which were out of his control. Zuerlein's opportunities from 50-plus dipped from 13 to two last season, and his 28 total tries ranked 21st among kickers. But by almost all metrics, Zuerlein got better as a kicker in 2013, with his overall conversion rate rising from 74 percent to 93 percent. The Rams' offense should improve in 2014, though not enough to warrant bumping Zuerlein into your top 10.
20. Nate Freese, Det KYEAR1-3940-4950+TOTXPPTS
2013 Statistics--/----/----/----/----/----
2014 Projections12/147/102/421/2847/47114
2014 Outlook: Freese is a rookie from Boston College, and while it's hard to predict how first-timers will handle the pressure, he's in a good position to put up points regularly kicking for a potent Lions offense.
21. Matt Prater, Den KYEAR1-3940-4950+TOTXPPTS
2013 Statistics11/118/86/725/2675/75169
2014 Projections12/139/114/625/3041/41128
2014 Outlook: Prater is suspended for the first four games after violating the league's substance-abuse policy. He was originally our No. 1 fantasy kicker, in part because of a Broncos offense that scored 10 points per game more than the next-best team in 2013. The seven-year pro finished with an NFL-record 75 PATs, 23 more than second-place finishers Ryan Succop and Mike Nugent racked up last season. It's worth considering that the Broncos will play the NFC West in 2014, which means Peyton Manning & Co. will face three of the top seven scoring defenses from a year ago. But also take into account that if some of those extra points turn into field goal tries, Prater is a guy who converted a league-best 96.2 percent of his three-point tries in 2013. Because the Broncos' bye comes in Week 4, Prater won't be active until Week 6. He'll be a popular waiver pickup then.
22. Cairo Santos, KC KYEAR1-3940-4950+TOTXPPTS
2013 Statistics--/----/----/----/----/----
2014 Projections14/167/92/423/2947/47121
2014 Outlook: The rookie Santos beat out Ryan Succop for the job and will benefit from kicking for a Chiefs offense that hopes to take a step forward. As long as he's able to handle the duties, Santos could be a worthy fantasy option.
23. Ryan Succop, Ten KYEAR1-3940-4950+TOTXPPTS
2013 Statistics15/166/81/422/2852/52120
2014 Projections15/168/102/425/3038/38120
2014 Outlook: Succop was cut by the Chiefs, but landed in Tennessee. He struggled a bit from distance last season (7-for-12 from 40-plus yards away), so he's best saved for the waiver wire when your kicker is on a bye.
24. Dan Carpenter, Buf KYEAR1-3940-4950+TOTXPPTS
2013 Statistics19/1910/114/633/3632/32146
2014 Projections15/169/103/627/3231/31122
2014 Outlook: It's easy to see why Buffalo ponied up a four-year, $10 million contract for Carpenter. His 14 field goals of 40-plus yards tied for sixth in the NFL last season, and he missed only one kick at home. Carpenter finished in a tie for fourth place with 117 points from field goals, and the Bills have invested heavily to improve the offense. Still, despite Carpenter's strong showing and his newly inked contract, Buffalo kept 2013 sixth-rounder Dustin Hopkins in town to provide some competition. Any time you're wondering whether a kicker will win the job, it's time to find someone else.

2013 Statistics--/----/----/----/----/----
2014 Projections15/177/102/424/3141/41117
2014 Outlook: Catanzaro beat out veteran Jay Feely for the Cards' kicking job. Since the Arizona offense is expected to be solid, it's possible Catanzaro becomes fantasy-worthy. On draft day, though, there are many more proven options ahead of him.
