GAME START LIMITS
One aspect of strategy in fantasy baseball is not simply knowing who to start but when to start them. As such it is critical to pay attention to your pitchers game started when setting your lineup. ESPN's Standard League game does not allow for unlimited streaming of pitchers. Listed below are the game start limits for both ROTO and H2H scoring formats.

Roto SEASON start maximums

  • Batters - Unlimited starts - No maximums.
  • Pitchers - Limited starts - Maximum of 200 games started.

H2H WEEKLY start maximums

  • Batters - Unlimited starts - No maximums.
  • Pitchers - Limited starts - Maximum of 12 games started by active roster.
NOTES:
1) In the event that a H2H scoring period is shorter or longer than a 7-day week, the number of starts does not change.
2) If a team exceeds the max in the middle of a day, the team will continue to accumulate stats until the end of the day.
3) In order to qualify to win any H2H average category (ie AVG, ERA, WHIP) the team must accumulate at least 1 AB for batters and 1/3 IP for pitchers.
