College World Series Baseball League

This College World Series Baseball League will be set-up like the true CWS baseball format. These are the same 64 college baseball teams that played in the 64 team tournament in the real College World Series in 2012. The College World Series tournament is made up of 64 teams with 8 teams in 8 different leagues. Each league will be divided into 2 divisions of 4 teams. From there the season will start and follow the setup format explained below.

REGIONALS
8 teams in each of the 8 Leagues will all play each other twice in a 14 week time period.
SUPER REGIONALS
The top team from each division of all 8 leagues after 14 weeks of play will advance to a 2 out of 3 series between each other during weeks 15, 16, and 17 .
CWS
Leagues winners in leagues 1, 2, 3 and 4 will play a double elimination tournament week 18 thru 22 weeks. Leagues winners in leagues 5, 6, 7 and 8 will also follow the same format.
CWS FINALS
The winner of top 4 double elimination tournament plays the winner of bottom 4 double elimination tournament in a best 2 out of 3 series into weeks 22, 23 and 24 for the CWS championship. (If one of elimination weeks is not needed, games will be moved up 1 week (week 22), because this season there are only 24 weeks instead of 25 from last season. If all the weeks are used then the CWS Finals become a two week total points for the championship).

TIE - BREAKER RULES
In the event of a tie, the following criteria will be used to determine which of the tied teams will advance to the next round in the playoffs. First the higher seeded team will advance. Second, the team who has scored the most offensive points for the season and playoffs will advance. Third, the team that has had the least amount of points scored against during the season and playoffs will advance.

Every few weeks the League Manager will put up a activity check-in-poll. As a owner of a CWS team, you are required to check in the poll under your team name. This is a standard requirement of all Leagues and this is what makes our leagues very competive. If you miss the check in poll for 3 weeks, you will be replaced. If for some reason you may be out of town and can't check in, leave a message for the LM before leaving.
