Josh Thole
Nov 1: The Blue Jays exercised the 2015 club option for Thole, SportsNet's Shi Davidi reports. Defensively, Thole is a fine backup catcher, but he hit .248 with zero home runs in 150 plate appearances last year and is a very low-end option in fantasy.

Aug 20: Thole went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Wednesday's win over Milwaukee. Sporadic playing time continues to be the norm for Thole, who often finds a spot start when R.A. Dickey is on the hill and Dioner Navarro is in need of a day off.

May 2: Thole is in the lineup Friday against the Pirates, Sportsnet reports. With regular catcher Dioner Navarro dealing with quad tightness, Thole will step in as the starter Friday, and he could continue to hold that role for a few days if Navarro misses more time. In 25 plate appearances this season, the 27-year-old is hitting .458 with a double and two RBI.

Mar 31: Thole will start at catcher and bat ninth in the lineup for Monday's Opening Day tilt against the Rays. Thole is typically used to catch knuckleballer R.A. Dickey, so this lineup shouldn't be overly surprising. Dioner Navarro will be the Blue Jays' catcher on most days, but he'll serve as the designated hitter Monday.
