Verlander was diagnosed Tuesday with inflammation in multiple places in his right shoulder, Chris Iott of MLive.com reports. Speaking to Jason Beck of MLB.com, manager Brad Ausmus said, "There was no major structural damage. At this point, we don't expect him to go on the DL."
Verlander is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his sore shoulder Tuesday, Chris Lott of MLive.com reports.
Verlander left Monday's game with right shoulder soreness and will be further evaluated Tuesday.
