Reds manager Bryan Price said he is hoping to have Bailey (forearm) in the rotation to begin 2015, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports. "I don't think he's in jeopardy of missing any significant time during next year, if any at all," Price said. "We're hoping he'll be ready by Opening Day but if not, it should be somewhere close to it."
Bailey's flexor mass tendon surgery was successful Friday, MLB.com's Mark Sheldon reports.
Bailey will undergo surgery Friday to repair a torn flexor mass tendon in his right forearm.
The Reds are considering surgery to repair the flexor mass tendon in Bailey's forearm. "It's being discussed," manager Bryan Price said on Tuesday. "With that particular injury, it's one of the options. It's not the only option. As we move forward, we'll consider it as something that would certainly rectify the problem."
The Reds moved Bailey to the 60-day DL on Monday.
