Manager Matt Williams indicated Span (hernia) has been cleared to be "full-go" at the Nationals' workouts, Mark Zuckerman of CSN Washington reports.
Span said that he's fully recovered from hernia surgery in December, but he'll be eased into game action during the Grapefruit League slate, the Nationals' official site reports. "I'm not in a rehab mode. So I've been working out. I've been hitting, throwing, fielding. I've been doing everything," Span said. "From what has been communicated to me, we are going to take it slow, just be smart and realize that it's a long camp."
Span says his rehab from hernia surgery is going well, and he should be ready for the beginning of spring training, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.
