Chacin (shoulder) is not expected to require surgery, but will miss at least four-to-six weeks, MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports.
The Rockies moved Chacin (shoulder) to the 60-day DL on Friday.
Chacin (shoulder) has been diagnosed with a strained rotator cuff and will receive a second opinion on the injury before determining a course of action, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Chacin was placed on the 15-day DL on Monday due to right shoulder inflammation.
Chacin admitted after Saturday's game that he's concerned about his lack of arm strength, the Denver Post reports. "I really don't know what's wrong with my arm. I can't get strong," Chacin said. "Even if I throw extra hard, I can get one (pitch), but then I can't throw the next one hard."
Chacin (1-7) got hammered for seven runs on 11 hits over 5.2 innings in Saturday's loss to the Brewers.
Chacin was tagged for five runs on four hits and three walks over six innings in an 8-0 loss Monday to the Cardinals.
Chacin (1-5) gave up three runs, three walks, seven hits, and struck out five over six innings in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Dodgers.
