Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said he is "not optimistic" Marte (concussion) will come off the DL on Wednesday, Jenn Menendez of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

The Pirates are unsure whether Marte (concussion) will return from the DL on Wednesday, according to GM Neal Huntington.

Manager Clint Hurdle said Marte's absence from the lineup Tuesday was not due to an injury. "Manager's decision," Hurdle said in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "I've been trying to get the bench guys in periodically after the break to get them some at-bats to keep them fresh."
Marte is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers.
