After the game, manager Brad Ausmus, team president Dave Dombrowski and head athletic trainer Kevin Rand had a meeting discussing options for Martinez, Fox Sports Detroit reports. "I think we're going to have to look at some other options for Victor," Ausmus said. "But we're going to do that privately."
Martinez will continue to bat left-handed against right-handed pitching, MLB.com's Jason Beck reports.
Martinez is in the lineup for Monday's game against the Brewers.
