Crawford (quadriceps) said Friday that he feels fine and expects to play Saturday if it doesn't rain, Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Crawford (leg) will be held out Thursday and Friday as a precaution, Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Crawford is not in the lineup for Thursday's Cactus League game due to leg tightness, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Crawford said that he enters spring training in the best physical condition he's been in since 2011, and the veteran outfielder implied that he will return to his base-stealing ways in 2014, the MLB.com reports. "I got my triples, went from first to third," Crawford said of his 2013 season. "Why am I not stealing more? It's all mental and I just have to get over the hump." Crawford got into specifics a bit, saying, "I went head-first all the time when I was younger. Generally, that's not the safest way. But either I do that or I stand still at first base all year. I'll try something different and get that doubt out of my head."
Crawford's arrival to spring training has been delayed by the removal of his wisdom teeth Thursday, the Orange County Register reports.
