Swisher (knee) and the Indians will seek further opinions on the injury before deciding on the next course of action, MLB.com reports. "With the ballclub's help and urging, he's going to get another opinion and we're trying to align that right now. When we have information that's solid -- and when and where and all that -- we will give it to you guys. I think they're in the process of trying to do that right now," manager Terry Francona said.
Swisher will have an MRI on his knee Monday to determine the extent of his injury, but manager Terry Francona doesn't believe it's season-ending. "I don't think so," Francona said. "I think it's going to be something he's going to have to manage. And, when he feels good, he's going to have to continue to manage it. As you start to get, whether it's arthritic changes or with some wear and tear, he's going to have to take care of it. He's never had to deal with that before."
Swisher (knee) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Sunday.
