HOW TO PLAY:
Registration To enter, fill out the free game registration form on ESPN.com. After registering, you are ready to play Monday Night Football Over/Under. A valid ESPN member name and password will be used as an identifier to login to game play, and to keep track of your entry's score and standing. If you are already a registered ESPN account holder, you do not need to go through this necessary process, although if you are under 13 you must obtain the consent of your parent or legal guardian (as explained in the Official Rules). If you've had an ESPN account in the past but forgot your password, here's how to find your account information.
Name Your Entry (Optional)
After you have signed in, you will be prompted with a screen that will ask you to name your entry. Your entry name will consist of two components: a location (most often where you reside), and a nickname. Once you have named your team, click on the "Submit Entry Name" button.
Making Your Selections
Accessible from the "Edit Your Picks" link on your entry page, all game selections must be finalized 10 minutes before the kickoff of each Monday Night Football game. To enter your guess, select the radio button next to the team and hit the "Submit Choices" button, as shown in the example below:
Accumulating points
The object of the game is simple: Correctly predict, by selecting either over or under, the outcome in each of the 10 questions. A correct selection counts as one point. There are 13 games Monday Night Football games which count towards the overall standings, and are listed on the MNF O/U Schedule page. Be certain to enter your tiebreaker predictions, which can be changed multiple times up until the game locks (time indicated above).
Late start notice: Due to the late launch of the MNF O/U contest, the first week's game between New York and Denver will not count in the overall standings. Points for the will start the second MNF game of the season between Minnesota and Baltimore.
Tiebreaker Question
For tiebreaker purposes only, you are asked to submit your prediction on how many points each team will score during the Monday Night game.
Groups
You have the option to group yourself with friends, co-workers, classmates, or completely random fans by joining or creating a group. Within each group your entry will be automatically ranked. Most of the groups in MNF Over/Under are public and can be joined at anytime. If you want to play with a specific group of people you know, create a private group and make it only accessible to those whom you have given the password. The creator of a group sets the name and the group's password. Groups can have up to 50 members and you can move your entry from one group to the next at any time. All of this is easily done on the main Group Directory page. |
